Scholarships for UNISTAFF (University Staff Development Programme)-courses in Kassel-Witzenhausen, Germany
For more than ten years now the University Staff Development Programme of the University of Kassel offers training courses for university staff and faculty administrators (preferably PhD.-holders) who are engaged in teaching, research, services or management. These courses of 2,5 months duration particularly cater for university staff from Central America, Southeast Asia and Eastern Africa. Aiming at further developing human potentials which contribute to the sustainability of scientific and social devlopment, UNISTAFF acknowledges a deep shift of paradigms towards globalization, relevance and accountability of higher education systems. Accordingly, there are four main issues or tasks which characterize the UNISTAFF curriculum:
- Redesigning of curricula
- Learning to learn
- Strengthening the research competence, particularly with regard to relevance and interdisciplinarity
- Perceiving the university as an organization, built up on personal and professional interrelationships
The course 2008 will be held in May and until mid July.
